World football governing body Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) has confirmed the date Nigeria will host Cameroon in the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers game in the third round of games in the African qualifying series.
Nigeria tops group B with six points, which is more than that of Cameroon who are Nigeria’s next opponent when the third round of games comes up later in the year.
According to the FIFA website, the game which was earlier moved to August 31st for television purposes has been moved back to the initial date of 1st of September 2017 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria.
The return leg tie was also moved from the 5th of September to the 4th of September by FIFA. The new dates have been communicated to both football federations by FIFA.
