Lagos state has recorded 2 suspected cases of Monkey Pox, the state’s Ministry of Health has announced.
Dr. Jide Idris, Commissioner for Health, Lagos State made the announcement on Monday during a news conference in Lagos
According to Dr. Idris, the Lagos, state government has already commenced investigation of the two suspected cases in the statstate
He also explained that, “Though no confirmed case has been recorded, there is need to sensitise members of the public and provide adequate information on measures for prevention and wcontrol of the disease in line with the policy of the State government.”
This is coming after new cases of the airborne viral disease was reported to have been recorded in Akwa Ibom state.
