Etisalat Nigeria has had its name changed in a bid to rebrand and stabilize the current status of the company.
Although, the new brand name is yet to be unveiled to the public, reports however, reveals that the new brand name is 9Mobile.
This was announced on Thursday in Lagos during an executive meeting where the new name was adopted, with notifications sent to all its staff across board.
The telecoms company has also noted that the new change in the name of its brand will not in any way affect its operations.
Speaking on getting Etisalat back on track, Boye Olusanya, new Chief Executive of the company, said;
“Etisalat Nigeria has 20 million subscribers, making it the country’s number four mobile operator with a 14 percent market share. Our mandate is to make sure the business runs as profitably as it can. What is most important now is to … ensure that the business runs and meets its obligations,”
He said the telecom company is focused on getting the group back on track”
