Angel Di Maria points out turning point for Nigeria in 4-2 win over Argentina

Argentina attacking midfielder Angel Di Maria has identified the turning point for the Super Eagles in their comeback 4-2 win over Argentina on Tuesday.

The Nigerian national team overturned a 2-goal deficit to run out 4-2 winners in the friendly game played against Argentina in Krasnordar, Russia.

The super goals came out victorious courtesy of goals from Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi and Brian Idowu. However, Di Maria has picked the first half goal by Iheanacho as the turning point of the game for the Nigerian National team.

He said; ” What a match. We started well, successfully held them in the early stages of the game, but the goal scored by Nigeria before the half time break was the turning point”, Di Maria said after the game.

” We were physically outplayed by a very strong opponent, and we calmed down a bit, and we paid for it. It’s good that this is not the World Cup yet. We will slowly sort things out”.
