Arsenal missed out on Champions League qualification despite winning Everton 3-1 on Sunday.
Arsene Wenger’s side needed to win and hope their rivals slipped up to which the gunners held up their end of the bargain on the day.
Despite Laurent Koscieny receiving an early red card Arsenal still opened the scoring early on in the game through Hector Belarin.
Sanchez added a second before Romelu Lukaku pulled one back from the penalty spot for Everton but Aaron Ramsey scored a third to give Arsenal a 3-1 win.
However, Liverpool’s win over Middlesbrough and Manchester City’s trouncing of Watford, meant Wenger’s men had to finish fifth and have failed to achieve Champions league qualification for the first time in 20 consecutive seasons.
