Taraba State Government rejects FG’s proposed cattle colonies

Taraba State Government yesterday rejected the proposal from the federal government to establish cattle colonies across states of the federation. This was disclosed by the Taraba State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Yusufu Akirikwen, who said that Taraba state has no land for Cattle Colonies as proposed by the Federal Government. The attorney-general spoke to pressmen yesterday in the state capital, Jalingo, that the state government had enacted a law for the establishment of ranches which would come into effect on Jan 24.
