The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, injected another $190 million into the forex market on Monday
The new disbursement is a follow up to the $831.5 million injected into different segments of the forex market last week
According to Mr Isaac Okorafor, acting Director Corporate Communications of the CBN, the apex bank would be introducing a new forex retail option soon.
He also stated that $100 million was sold through the interbank market to forex dealers authorised by the apex bank, while SMEs received $50 million.
In the same vein, $45 million was offered to the invisibles segment in order to meet medical, school tuition, allowances, travel allowances and personal demands.
