Chelsea FC forward, Diego Costa has revealed that manager, Anthonio Conte has told him that he does not figure in his plans for next season.
Conte was said to have sent text messages to all his players wishing them a good holiday and reminding them to remain fit
Costa, however, sent a jokey reply to his boss after which he received another message from him saying: “Hi Diego, I hope you are well. Thanks for the season we spent together. Good luck for the next year but you are not in my plan.”
The Spain international went on to show Conte’s text to his fellow team mates and revealed after the 2-2 draw game between Spain and Columbia that his “Relationship with the coach has been bad this season.”
“It is a shame, I have already forwarded the message to Chelsea people to decide”, he added.
He further disclosed that he is open to a return to former club, Athletico Madrid, who have, however, been banned from signing players till January next year.
However the player admits that the ban on Athletico is something of concern for him, saying;
Being five months without playing? I do not know, it’s complicated, but people know that I love Atletico a lot and that I love to live in Madrid,”
“It would be nice to go back, but it’s difficult to be four or five months without playing. It’s a World Cup year and there are many things to think about. I need to play, just that.”
Costa had a fall out with Conte in the second half of last season and reports have suggested that that might have led to the Italian manager’s decision
