Monday, June 26 and Tuesday, June 27 have been declared as Public Holiday by the Federal Government to mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
This was announced in Abuja on Thursday by retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, Minister of Interior, on behalf of the Federal Government.
The Minister called on all Muslims and Nigerians in general to also use the celebrations to reflect and pray for the peace, unity and progress of the country.
He further urged Nigerians to avoid divisive tendencies that could threaten the peace and progress of the nation.
Dambazau finally called on all and sundry to join hands with the President Muhammadu Buhari administration to build a peaceful and better Nigeria.
