Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has disclosed that the sum of $2bn has been paid to kick start the completion of the Second Niger bridge in the southeast as was promised by the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), led by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Prof. Osinbajo stated this during the flag-off of the All Progressives Congress governorship campaign which took place in Onitsha the Anambra State capital today
“We are not making promises for nothing. The second Niger Bridge, we have been talking about it for a long time. But for the first time, President Muhammadu Buhari went by himself to negotiate the facility to do that second Niger Bridge,” the VP said.
The Vice President also noted that the present administration has included the South-east region in the current rail-way network which, according to him, previous administrations had failed to do.
