Mildred Ehiguese, representing Adamawa State at the just concluded 2017 edition of Miss. Nigeria beauty pageant has emerged as the new ‘Miss Nigeria’ at the beauty contest held last night at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Ehiguese replaces the outgoing Chioma Obiadi Stephanie who represented Anambra state at the 2016 edition of Miss. Nigeria beauty pageant.
The ‘Miss. Nigeria beauty pageant’ was formed in 1957 with the Motto, “Empowering Women beyond Beauty’’. It is organized by the Daily Times of Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, the publisher of ‘The Daily Times of Nigeria’, Fidelis Anosike, said the is an annual beauty pageant show designed to define the Nigerian woman by showcasing the positive attributes of Nigerian women as well as awards university scholarships to selected winners.
