It seems former vice-president Atiku Abubakar is not relenting in his country-wide political consultations ahead of the 2019 general elections. Former vice-president Atiku Abubakar arrived Minna, the Niger state capital earlier today, to visit ex-military president, Ibrahim Babaginda.
This is coming days after defecting from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in preparation of the upcoming PDP’s National Convention.
Atiku arrived IBB residence about 12:35 pm in company of former Niger state governor Dr. Babangida Aliyu and was led to the upper chamber of IBB house by Niger state deputy governor Ahmed Mohammad Ketso who had earlier received the former vice president. The duo later went into a close-door meeting in one of the ex-President’s rooms in the villa.
IBB had earlier spoke on the defection of Atiku as thus “He is a Nigerian, he is allowed to go to any party and our constitution allows it, so, it is not new and there is nothing wrong for politician to move from one party to another.”
