Senator Dino Melaye has seen his appeal for a stop on the process of his recall thrown out of court.
The embattled senator failed in his bid to stop the process of his recall by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday, 6 2017.
According to reports, Justice John Tsoho rejected Sen. Melaye’s motion for an injunction to temporarily restrain INEC from continuing with the process for his recall.
Melaye who had filed a suit challenging his recall, asked the court to suspend the recall process pending the determination of the suit
The judge instead ruled that status quo be maintained by all parties involved, “pending the hearing of the motion on notice.”
