The video for Nigerian music Power House, Yemi Alade’s 2014 hit track “Johnny” is now said to be the The Most Viewed Video On YouTube in Africa.
The music video has now overtook recently separated Nigerian music duo, Psquare’s ‘Personally’ video which was released in 2013 on their YouTube Vevo.
Psquare, after releasing the Michael Jackson inspired video five years ago, had confirmed that the song was dedicated to the late legendary King of Pop.
“We dedicate this video to our mentor; the legendary King Of Pop, the late Michael Jackson, who still inspires us ‘Personally’,” the defunct music group was quoted to have said in 2013 when the video was released.
Nigerian music video director Clarence Peters who co-directed the video for ‘Personally’, coincidentally, also directed the music video for ‘Johnny’.
The video for Johnny by Yemi Alade now sits at 78,932,802 views on YouTube ahead of Psquare’s ‘Personally’ video which currently has 78,868,112 views on YouTube.
